The Critical Candle Matrix: Where Big Money Makes Decisions
Date: September 24, 2026
Time: 4:30 pm ET
Presenter: Anne-Marie Baiynd
Company: The Trading Book
Most traders aren’t afraid of losing money. They’re afraid of being wrong.
That fear can cause hesitation at the exact moment they should act, premature exits when the trade is working, and impulsive entries just to avoid “missing the move.”
The Critical Candle Matrix changes the question from “Do I think the market is going up or down?” to “What is price actually proving?”
You’ll learn how to use critical candles, VWAP slope, market regime, liquidity sweeps, and look below/above and fail setups to identify where the trade exists, what confirms it, and where the idea is invalidated.
Because confidence doesn’t come from being right more often. It comes from knowing what you’re looking for, knowing when to act—and knowing exactly when you’re wrong.
In this session, the following topics will be covered:
- Stop predicting. Start reading structure. Learn a repeatable framework that moves from macro context and higher-timeframe structure to precise intraday execution.
- Master the critical candles that define the trading day. Use the 18:00, 09:30 and 15:30 decision zones to identify support, resistance, liquidity sweeps, invalidation points, and target ladders.
- Know whether to trend, fade, or stay out. Combine VWAP slope, moving average alignment, momentum divergence, and price action to distinguish trending, range-bound, and event-driven markets before risking capital.
- Turn liquidity sweeps into defined trade setups. Learn the look below/above and fail methodology—waiting for the sweep, reclaim or rejection, confirmation, and second-pass stabilization before committing to the trade.
