Range Bars Without Reset At Session Start

Charts range bars without daily reset at session start ‐ as long as the instrument continues trading within the previous day's last range bar, no new bar is drawn.

Adapted from NT7 default range bar code.

Unzip, copy into Ninjatrader 7/bin/custom/Type folder.
In NT7, open and compile any indicator.
Upon restarting NT7, the bar type "CustRange" will be added to the drop down list of bar types.

Warnings: Charts may take longer to load. Untested for compatibility with strategies using end/begin of session conditions.

Importing to NinjaTrader 7 is Easy!

To import your 3rd party app or add-on to NinjaTrader, simply follow these 3 steps:

  1. Download the app or add-on file to your desktop
  2. From the NinjaTrader Control Center window, select the menu File > Utilities > Import NinjaScript
  3. Select the downloaded file from your desktop
