This is an update to the News (Econ) 2b (derived from jtEconNews2a indicator converted to NT8 by NinjaTrader staff).

The image shows the extra added in v2b and 2c.

Remove the older indicator before importing this newer one.
Two custom sound files are included in the zip file. Copy them to C:Program FilesNinjaTrader 8sounds folder. If any of those custom sound files are missing a stock Ninja sound is played instead.

Version 2c:
Added Display News for X minutes afterwards. The current on-going news event can now remain visible on the list for X number of minutes after the event time.

Version 2b:
Mostly, I tweaked the way it looks on the chart and the audio alerts. Such as, the background has a 2 pixel padding all around the text, and an opacity setting. Also, if there is no news event it states that now. Alerts play a max of three times. Little improvements like that.

The News Refresh Interval is now in hours instead of minutes to reduced the number of times the news is downloaded from the website, to reduce the load on this free service and server. The original code downloaded every 15 minutes which can add up to a LOT of data as this indicator becomes more popular. And, who knows how many other trading platforms are using the same website. Reducing the number of hits and thus data downloaded helps keep the cost down for whoever is paying for it.

Enhancements to the audio alerts:
The alert only plays three times now (It used to play on every bar and it got old Quick). The first two times it plays is based on Notify X minutes before. Once at that number of minutes before the event time. The second time is half that time. Those are warning alerts that play the file specified in the Pending Alert file (wav) setting. The last (3rd) alert sound is at the news event time.

It is recommended to run this on a Minute chart. eg. 1 to 5 minutes is optimal so the alerts are synch'd to the clock. It will run on any chart though. Just run it on a faster timeframe chart, not a 30 minute chart.
