What is this tool?

KINFX Trade Journal is a standalone NinjaTrader 8 Control Center AddOn for reviewing account performance with a cleaner layout than the stock Trade Performance window, plus a structured trading journal. It loads executions from your accounts, pairs round-trip trades (FIFO), and shows Summary metrics in All / Long / Short columns. Secondary metrics can be hidden. A calendar supports 7 / 30 / 90 day and Year views with FILL or $ display. It is NOT a trade copier and does not replace the full official Trade Performance / Strategy Analyzer for advanced metrics such as true MAE/MFE or Sharpe.

Main Features

• Open from Control Center → New → KINFX Trade Journal
• Summary tab: All / Long / Short columns (net profit, gross profit/loss, commission, profit factor, win rate, averages, largest winners/losers, etc.)
• Optional blocks: consecutive wins/losses, secondary stats, approximate advanced stats (toggle on/off)
• Trades tab: FIFO round-trips from executions — fixed-width columns, P&L right-aligned (green profit / red loss)
• Executions tab: fixed-width fills grid (time, account, instrument, side, qty, price, commission, order name)
• Journal tab: setup, tags, rating, mood, R-multiple, free notes; link to a selected execution
• Calendar: 7 large days · 30 days (2 calendars side-by-side) · 90 days (3 per row) · Year (4×3 months)
• Calendar metric toggle FILL ↔ $ (toolbar or re-click selected day/month)
• KPI cards: Net profit, Trades, Win rate, Profit factor
• Account filter + lookback (Today / 7 / 30 / 90 / Year)

How to Use (Step by Step)

1. Install
• Download the ZIP → Tools → Import → NinjaScript Add-On…
• Compile if prompted (F5).

2. Open
• Control Center → New → KINFX Trade Journal

3. Choose account and range
• Account combo: one account or all
• Lookback: Today / 7 days / 30 days / 90 days / Year

4. Review performance
• Summary: core stats always visible; enable optional checkboxes only if you want extra rows
• Trades: closed round-trips with aligned P&L colors
• Executions: raw fills; click a row to link a journal note

5. Journal
• Fill Setup / Tags / Rating / Mood / R / Notes → Add / update
• Save or Export MD when needed

6. Calendar
• Click a day to filter lists
• Re-click the same day (or use Cal: FILL / Cal: $) to switch FILL vs $ metric

Important Notes

• BETA. Free unprotected NinjaScript source for User App Share. No external DLLs.
• Complements official Trade Performance — it does not replace every official statistic.
• Trade P&L is estimated from FIFO pairing × instrument PointValue − commission. Numbers can differ slightly from the official report (especially multi-leg / partials / unusual instruments).
• Avg MAE / MFE / ETD and full Sharpe / Sortino are not claimed here (need deeper tick reconstruction). Use the stock Trade Performance window for those.
• Always verify against your broker / prop dashboard before relying on any figure.
• You are responsible for all trading decisions and risk. Test on Simulation first.

This tool is built for traders who want a clearer multi-account review surface plus a real structured journal—not just a free-text notes box.
