The distribution of volume that occurs over the range of a bar can provide a better understanding of what is to come in the following bars.

As Randy demonstrates, knowing the open & close of a bar is only part of the picture. Seeing the distribution of volume within a bar’s range can help traders better understand the action within each bar and assist with forecasting price direction.
