Trade Manager

What is this tool?

Trade Manager is a floating interactive control panel that helps traders quickly plan and manage trades with proper risk management. It draws Entry, Stop Loss (SL), and Take Profit (TP) lines on the chart, automatically calculates position size based on your risk dollars, and supports common RR (Risk-Reward) ratios. Main Features

  • Visual floating panel (draggable) with buttons for quick adjustments
  • Risk-based position sizing Ã¢Â€Â” automatically calculates contracts/lots based on your risk amount and SL distance
  • RR Presets Ã¢Â€Â” 1:1, 1:2, 1:3 (auto-adjusts TP when SL is moved)
  • Adjustable tick steps Ã¢Â€Â” fine-tune SL/TP with 5, 10, 25, 100 ticks
  • LONG / SHORT toggle
  • One-click "PLACE" Ã¢Â€Â” calculates quantity and fills the ChartTrader order panel
  • Real-time line drawing with color-coded labels showing potential profit/loss
  • Clear all function to remove lines

How to Use (Step by Step)

  1. Add the indicator to your chart
    • Drag "Trade Manager" from the Indicators list onto any chart.
  2. Configure basic settings (in the indicator properties)
    • Default Risk ($) → e.g. 200 (how much you want to risk per trade)
    • Default RR → 1:2 (recommended)
    • Colors and line styles as preferred
  3. Using the floating panel
    • LONG / SHORT button: Toggle trade direction
    • PLACE button: Sets Entry at current price, default SL/TP, and calculates contracts
    • SL / TP fields: Click + / - buttons to adjust (uses current tick step)
    • RR buttons: Quickly switch between 1:1, 1:2, 1:3
    • Risk $: Adjust your risk amount per trade
    • FILL button: Automatically sets the calculated quantity into ChartTrader
    • CLEAR button: Removes all lines and resets
  4. Drag the panel
    • Click and drag the blue title bar ("Trade Planner") to move the panel anywhere on the chart.
  5. Hotkeys / Interaction
    • The panel responds to mouse clicks on all buttons.
    • Lines are automatically redrawn when prices or parameters change.

Important Notes

  • Works best on OnEachTick mode (already set by default).
  • Requires ChartTrader to be open if you want to use the "FILL" function.
  • All lines are temporary drawing objects — they will disappear when you remove the indicator or reload the chart.
  • Always verify your risk and position size manually before placing real orders.

This tool is designed for fast, visual trade planning especially useful for futures, forex, and prop firm traders who want precise risk control.

Futures, options, foreign currency, digital asset, and event contract trading involves substantial risk and is not suitable for everyone. An investor may lose all or more than the initial investment. Trading should be undertaken only with risk capital—funds that can be lost without jeopardizing one’s financial security or lifestyle—and only by those who can afford such losses. Past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results. Prior to trading digital assets, review the CFTC and NFA advisories for additional information regarding the significant risks involved. View Risk Disclosure Statement.

NFA Rule 2-29(c): Hypothetical performance results have many inherent limitations, some of which are described below. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profits or losses similar to those shown. In fact, there are frequently sharp differences between hypothetical performance results and the actual results subsequently achieved by any particular trading program. One of the limitations of hypothetical performance results is that they are generally prepared with the benefit of hindsight. In addition, hypothetical trading does not involve financial risk, and no hypothetical trading record can completely account for the impact of financial risk in actual trading. For example, the ability to withstand losses or to adhere to a particular trading program in spite of trading losses are material points which can also adversely affect actual trading results. There are numerous other factors related to the markets in general or to the implementation of any specific trading program which cannot be fully accounted for in the preparation of hypothetical performance results and all of which can adversely affect actual trading results.
